Paolo Buffa
He trained in the studio of Ponti and Lancia, and in 1928 Buffa opened his own studio with Cassi Ramelli. In the second half of the 1920s, he proposed objects of essential elegance, typical of the neoclassical taste of his time. Buffa designs a wide sequence of both private and public interior furnishings: from the Royal Palace of King Zoc of Albania (1940), to the representative parts of the Quirinale Hotel in Rome (1947/51), up to important naval furnishings. Considered one of the most authoritative interior designers in the Milan area, since the 1950s Buffa has been designing several branches of the Italian Banking Institute and the Lombard Provincial Bank.
