1960s A striking and highly collectible mid-century porcelain vide-poche (catch-all tray / trinket dish) designed by Piero Fornasetti in collaboration with Martini & Rossi. Known for his whimsical wit and fascination with historical ephemera, Fornasetti utilized trompe-l'œil transfer printing to mimic an antique whiskey label.
Features the vintage graphic label for "King Edward I Old Blended Specially Selected Scotch Whiskies". It is artfully embellished with rich cream backgrounds, bold red and black typography, portrait medallions of the king, and a simulated red wax seal.
Crafted in a classic rectangular silhouette with distinctively curled, folded edges designed to emulate a piece of aged parchment or paper. It'sin excellent condition and signed at the bottom.
