Paolo Venini
Paolo Venini (1895-1959), after a first experience with Giacomo Cappellin in the Cappellin Venini & C. (1921-1925), founded in 1925 “his” Venini & C. glassworks with Napoleone Martinuzzi and Francesco Zecchin. Having become president of the company, he worked as director and director of the company without stopping until his death, leaving an inimitable and well documented production in the exhibition. From the Diamante crystal glasses, in the second half of the Thirties, to the rich production of the Fifties that saw Venini devote himself assiduously to the creation of new glasses, obtaining great success at the Milan Triennale and the Venice Biennale, but also in the international events in support and for the diffusion of Italian design and craftsmanship that were held both in Europe and in the United States.
