Vico Magistretti,
6 October 1920, Ludovico "Vico" Magistretti, architect, urban planner and designer, was born, a leading exponent of the so-called Milanese rationalism. From the first post-war reconstruction projects to the interior design that distinguished his production in the sixties, Magistretti was one of the great protagonists of Lombard aesthetics of the late twentieth century. His range of interest and action embraced almost anything that had a shape in space, from "simple" interior design objects such as chairs, beds, armchairs and lamps to complex buildings and constructions. His was an incessant and passionate research around the great theme of living declined on every level, from the construction site to the most sophisticated furnishing details.
